Aunque los premios Óscar hayan perdido un poco de legitimidad en años anteriores, siguen siendo un evento que atrae a los cinéfilos del mundo. Algunos se ven atraídos por la discusión que generan. Otros por su lista de nominados. Muchos por su nombre, que sigue generando la idea de “lo mejor que trae el cine. En cualquier caso, la lista de nominados para los premios Óscar 2020 ya está aquí.
Algunos nombres ya se dan por sentados. ‘Parasite’ fue una de las películas más aclamadas del año anterior y la duda está en si su nominación será solo en la categoría de ‘película de no habla inglesa’ o también en la de ‘mejor película’. Otras nominados a los premios Óscar 2020 que tienen garantizado casi un cupo son ‘1917’, del director Sam Mendes, ‘Historia de un Matrimonio’ (no en la de mejor película, pero sí para sus actores principales). Otros contendientes son ‘Ford v. Ferrari’, ‘Little Women’ y ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’.
